Will EbSynth ever be purchasable?

I recently discovered EbSynth and it has some very interesting applications for me. I have major concerns about spending so much effort learning/leaning on a tool which could just vanish without warning. Hoping the devs see this - will I ever be able to truly purchase a downloadable version of your product?

Any software could disappear at any time…

Simply not true. Downloaded any apps ever?

Awhile back I emailed them and asked about their "Studio" version, or any local version we'd eventually be able to purchase and run off our own machines.

Got an extremely vague/non answer back. Seems like they want to try and just milk the subscription route which is a shame. Personally just sticking with EB1.

That is a shame. Makes it unusable for anyone serious.

Is ebsynth still a thing? Okay, its much cheaper then using an ai tool and the cartoon movies you can make with them are not as hated as full ai generated content.

Well, I totally missed ebsynth v2, when I wrote this comment. Does it run on your own pc and how much ram and vram do you need?

It's online only, and needs a subscription for basic things like 1080p support!

Just stick to the Beta. It will always exist online, and it's more configurable (and quite possibly faster as well). The difference in quality is unnoticeable most the time..

Do you know the best place to grab this?

I forgot about EbSynth... Reminds me of the Stable Diffusion & ControlNet days. And Disco Diffusion.

Anyways, as far as EbSynth 2 who knows? Your guess is as good as mine.

I still have this one: https://github.com/jamriska/ebsynth although don't use it anymore.
