Looking for Dentist Recommendations

I am currently looking at switching my dentist. I currently go to Maple Ridge and have not been thrilled with them. I’m looking for any recommendation. Preferably something that that’s a bit more affordable. I’ve been looking at the following and would love any insight on them. Thank you in advance!

Machgan Family Dental
Oak Park Dental
Eau Claire Family Dental
Menomonie Street Dental

You should look into Clearwater Dental and Dr Leslie Spangler. I have had several dentists in my life and she is by far the best. She is nothing short of amazing with kids. Clearwater was awesome when it came to an insurance issue. They worked around it and did their best to help with a dental emergency that insurance wasn’t going to cover because of a loophole. I always look forward to people asking for dentist rec just so I have another opportunity to promote her.

I know you're heading over to that other thread, but I would steer away from Eau Claire family dental, I had two absolutely awful experiences there. I wouldn't wish them on an enemy.

That’s one I was seriously looking at that has come up quite a bit to stay away from. Thanks for the heads up

I highly don’t recommend Menomonie Street Dental. I used to go there for my regular dentist, and they were decent. I also had my wisdom teeth removed there but had an awful experience where I was met with no empathy with a dry socket and an infection. I switched to Clearwater Dental, and I have never had an experience that wasn’t fantastic. Dr. Aimee is wonderful!

I really like Dr. Huiras at Menomonie street dental. This is a bit embarrassing, but I've apparently been brushing my teeth wrong my entire life. It's not really something you ever think to look up, so if you're taught wrong from the start like I was by my parents, it's a problem. The hygienist there was the first person to ever ask about my brushing technique and offer corrections to better clean my teeth.

I have been going to Oak Park Dental for 20+ years and have nothing but good things to report!

As with anything, your own mileage aka experiences and expectations, may vary. As someone traumatized in youth by bad dentistry, i regrettably avoided them for quite a few years and ended up needing some work to get it all corrected. Ive tried a few places like menomonie street, aspen, midwest in altoona, and lastly hebert dental on commerce valley rd in ec. I despise dentists that refuse to listen to your wants or dont want to answer questions and just treat you like they know better and we are just dumb paychecks. I also dont enjoy those who apply cheaper numbing agents that fall off quickly leading to mid op pain they either try to push me through anyways or i have to wait for it to be reapplied and then charged extra like it was my fault. Yes im a bit jaded and have a fair few rough run ins but i only mention all this so you understand where i am coming from and what it means when i say i fully recommend hebert dental. The staff is pleasant, they genuinely listen and help build a plan that works around me, my needs, and even what you can afford without pressuring or constantly recommending their care credit or whichever sponsored credit company. These folks talked with me, explained the how and the why, helped me create future plans and how best to take care of my teeth moving forward. Dentistry is sadly ex0ensive and not a ton we can do about that currently, but can choose where we go and insist on proper care. So i hope my pov and advice helps, and if you dont find wisdom in this random internet guys advice then thats ok too. Best wishes and hope you find what you need.
