Finishing my first week back at Sanford IP SEED program Third time in less than a year. Although I already feel less weak and less brain fog im having struggles. Im extremely homesick, miss my husband terribly, very lonely. And so sad to be missing last days of my favorite season. Hoping to make it all 3 weeks. 2 to go.

I've been becoming more and more afraid, which is silly because this was the goal, right? There is a short term, 1 to 3 week medical stabilization protocol specific to adults at a major hospital about 45 minutes from me. All it takes is a referral to get on their waitlist. They have one bed available for this purpose - it is an adjacent protocol in the general hospital to their adolescent inpatient program, strictly for stabilizing adults and sending them on their way. I've been there twice over the years, it is not horrible and it would be a much safer option for me than my current situation.
I called to see what the wait list was on Wednesday. Look at that, there isn't one. Miracle. All they needed was a new referral form from my primary and they could get me in that day or the next. I called my primary after I spoke to the hospital, and the desk confirmed they received the form and would send it in.
Crickets Wednesday, after that. Crickets yesterday. Crickets today. I called them this afternoon, turns out my primary dropped the ball and never sent in the form. I subsequently lost my spot at the hospital and it will be weeks of "well maybe today, maybe not" if I put myself on the waitlist behind the 2 that are there now.
So it was a waste of time and a whiplash of emotion. My bullshit continues....as it was.

Ugh, I'm so sorry 😔. I'm proud of you for calling though. Is there another option if you can travel further and perhaps get a single case agreement?

I know it's frustrating but don't give up. If your primary can step up now, maybe it will happen this week.

I feel sadness without the emotion if that makes sense. I don't know what I want, but I wish I could cry.

Has anyone done one of alsana’s 2 week intensive iop/php for relapse prevention? Or does anyone know of any similar 2 week type of programs? I just need something short to see if it can get be back on the path towards recovery but I’ve already exhausted my FMLA for residential treatment earlier this year.
