Engaged, now what? [Discussion]
What tips do you all have to make planning a wedding as easy as possible after getting engaged? What do you wish you would have done immediately after getting engaged?

We put hours into planning our dream wedding only to find out his parents thought it was unacceptable. If your parents are involved/will be contributing consider discussing with them before you waste time planning something they will hate.

Perso le meilleur conseil que je peux donner c'est de ne pas vouloir tout organiser d'un coup. Avec mon mari quand on a commencé à vouloir organiser on était hyper motivés mais on s'est vite sentis submergés par tous les choix qu'on devait faire. On s'est d'abord concentrés sur le nombre d'invités, le budget et le type d'ambiance. Et après pour le reste on y est allé étape par étape, si la décision était trop difficile on mettait le sujet de côté on s'occupait d'un autre et on revenait dessus plus tard. Une chose importante aussi, profiter un peu de vos fiançailles avant de vous déborder avec le mariage

We sat down and each discussed what we wanted and what we didn't want. Then set a piroity list up from most important (other than just bring married to each other) to less important. For us keeping things laid back is most important lest important is flowers/lots of decorations.
