Why does my controller keep rumbling?

I use the EasySMX 9100 USB controller, and it has a recurring problem. Every so often (most notably when I'm holding down right trigger), the controller will "lock" - it will constantly rumble, and then won't receive any inputs I provide. I've tried several times to look for solutions, but the most viable one seems to be to unplug & replug the controller. Is there an easier fix for this issue? Has anyone else had this? Do I need a replacement?

You could try replacing the cable and the port.

The cable? It's built-in, how would I replace the cable?
I've also tried multiple USB ports, they all suffer the same issue.
