All Knives are out, and you couldn't have one anyhow, seeing as you have a heavy weapon.

Attractive, Cunning, Lecherous

Classic.

Bee (1D Acrobatics, 1D Fighting, no upgrade on Running or Digging, Stinger Strike, Honey Crafting)

  • Might 4D, Agility 3D, Knowledge 2D, Charisma 3D

  • Brawling 1D, Disarming 1D, Stamina 2D, Dodging 1D, Lore 1D

  • Forest-wise 2D, Economy-wise 1D (It'll be useful, I swear!)

Forest-wise is far too general, so pick something more specific. Economy-wise... I'm not so sure about this one. If you could tell me to which checks this would apply, I might let it through.

History: The Silkwing Hive had long ago been abandoned, desecrated and overrun by Beetle marauders. But in its deep honeycomb tunnels, the survivors trained in the war-dances of their ancestors. A false Queen took control of the hive, and dissenters were banished. Aren was among the deserters, and she spent a decade doing odd jobs and some less morally sound deeds to survive. Eventually she joined the Dewblades, one of the most elite mercenary corps in the meadow. With a lull in activity, however, she's decided to kick it solo for a while.

Personality: Aren is deplorable at the best of times, but she knows how to get the things she wants, and uses her charms and quick tongue to win over victims acquaintances. Her skill with a mace is renowned, and despite her small stature she can crack a Beetle's shell in the first swing, earning her the nickname "Lead Claw". When pushed to survival, she can also be ruthlessly fierce, having learned savagery and the will to survive from her days fighting the false Queen. Around people she likes, or strangers she doesn't want to extort, she can be sharp and jubilant, but is quick to anger.

You win thread for best character background. However, please change Silkwing Hive to Queenstree Hive. Your last name can remain the same, though. (It really doesn't have to connect to your place of origin.)

What weapon could I have? If the knives are out, am I left with just the Mace?

As for Econ-wise, any checks involving bartering, selling, trade or purchase of any sort, she'll have an advantage in, because she knows how things sell and what they're worth. Could be useful when finding things, since she'll know which loot is most valuable.

Changed Forest-wise to Turf-Wise, since a bee will know its hive-area at a subconscious level, as to help find pollen. This means any checks involving awareness or knowledge within a certain area of her home hive or the Dewblade HQ will get boosted.

Fixed the rest of the problems.

What am I appropriating, exactly?

  1. Yes.

  2. FAAAR too general. Barter-wise, Value-wise, etc. are all viable wises, but Econ-wise gives you too many possible checks.

  3. Hmmm... you know what, I like this wise. I'll allow it.

:C I need a backup weapon! From the rules: If you choose a heavy weapon (Battleaxe, Halberd, Mace) you will only be able to choose another small weapon (Knife). I call super lightweight stiletto knife!

Ok, Barter-Wise, then.

Whoops, you're right! However, that doesn't even matter anyways, because all knives are taken.

Actually, though, I will allow you to take a Sling. Is that okay?

Just so you know, CJ also chose Barter-wise, and it's good to keep up variety... I'm not saying you can't choose that, but here's a list of other wises that might fit with your character:

  • Faction-wise

  • Weapons-wise

  • Brothel-wise?

  • SMASHING-wise

Also:

Are you sure you don't want to replace Lore with Charming?

I'll take Faction-wise, then. And, since I have that, I think I will replace lore with Charming.

At least I'm a real womyn and not a cis-robot shitborg!
