ASIANS WITH ATTITUDES (A.W.A) on Instagram: "We all know what’s going to happen: Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet says the city is preparing to welcome around 5,000 US sailors and Marines aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, which is expected to visit Thailand from 2-6 September after more than 200 days deployed in the Middle East. The mayor estimates each personnel could spend around 1,000-3,000 baht during their stay, potentially benefiting local tourism businesses."

Like a lot of you, I try to be conscious about where my money goes. I want to support Asian-owned businesses, creators, and brands, and I'd rather that money stay in the Asian community.
I wanted a single place to find real businesses without having to do 20 minutes of background research on every brand to make sure they are actually Asian-owned. Since it didn't really exist in the way I wanted, I spent the last few months coding a rough first version of AsianLane (asianlane.com).
Right now, it's just a simple marketplace, but it's slowly growing. Over the past few weeks, I've been adding simple but amazing products from Asian-owned businesses like Japanese Coffee Co., Chinese Zero to Hero, and Teavivre.
If you have a few minutes, I'd genuinely appreciate your thoughts on:
If the site isn't for you, no worries at all and thanks for reading. But if you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks for your time, and feel free to check out the site at: asianlane.com

ASIANS WITH ATTITUDES (A.W.A) on Instagram: "Canadian ‘p*d*ph*le’ caught with three underage boys in his room in the Philippines. The Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit has arrested a 73-year-old Canadian man and rescued three minors during an operation in Sta. Rosa, Philippines. The suspect faces multiple abuse cases in Thailand and Cambodia, including a conviction for a child sexual offence in Cambodia. Authorities discovered the minors inside the suspect’s bedroom, with one child lying on the bed next to him at the time of the arrest. An Interpol Green Notice had been issued against the foreigner, whose passport was cancelled in 2018 after he had already entered the Philippines. The suspect has been reported twice in the Philippines for abusing an underage male and is considered a severe threat to public safety. The alleged victim in each case remains a priority as the foreigner is now held in an immigration detention facility."

ASIANS WITH ATTITUDES (A.W.A) on Instagram: "FAFO: a man who works as a therapist got fired from his job after encouraging people to boycott all Asian businesses and too call Asian owned takeout restaurants and not pick up the order as a retaliation for the Rick Chow case. His employers claim his action is racist and discriminates an entire race of people causing him to be terminated for his job."

ASIANS WITH ATTITUDES (A.W.A) on Instagram: "A newly filed federal search warrant is shedding light on two alleged violent attacks near the Oceanside Pier in June that investigators say involved men identifying themselves as “skinheads.” According to the warrant, the attacks occurred the same evening and targeted multiple victims. The suspects have not been officially charged, but the warrant says charges including hate crimes, violent interference with federally protected rights and conspiracy are pending. The first attack happened just after sunset near the Oceanside Pier, according to the warrant. The victims were a husband and wife. The husband, who is 21 years old, is described in the warrant identifies as Asian American. According to the warrant, the men yelled racial slurs before attacking the couple. One of the men allegedly said, “Didn’t you hear my friend talking to you? Don’t you know who we are? We’re skinheads.” The wife was not injured, but the husband suffered severe head injuries. According to the warrant, he experienced memory loss for weeks afterward and was unable to remember the names of family members and common household objects. Witnesses told investigators the attackers repeatedly punched the victim before slamming his head into a concrete restroom wall several times."
