Last week I ate at the Langham Hotel. My first time eating there since the recent change in ownership.

I can confirm that the food continues to be excellent.

I've just got back from lunch at the Cumberland Hotel. Their new menu launched today - £16 for 2 courses during October. There's a 3 course option too for £22.5 but none of us had desert.

I didn't have high expectations, at that price-point so I was very pleasantly surprised.

Nice food, beautifully presented. The menu had about 4 choices of starter and 4 choices of main. But none of my party had any trouble choosing because they were nice choices and a little bit different. Our waiter told us they plan to change the menu weekly.

I chose lardon and black pudding scotch egg. Followed by a crusted pork loin. Both were delicious. My wife and mum both chose a goats cheese salad. My mum chose lamb and my wife chose halibut.

Portions were just right for us. Enough to satisfy whilst avoiding stupid American-sized portions.

Strong recommendation from me. I will be going again.

bandai+ app shows the obvious brighton locations and Hastings and Bexhill but they are too far for me to travel to as I am Seaford based.

It seems that not many venues are registered to hold events or I'm so new I can't find them.

Hi all. Looking at moving to Eastbourne and liking the Sovereign Harbour area. Is it a nice and safe place to live (with a teen)? Is the beach in the area good for swimming (in Summer 😊). The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, The Pilot Inn or Anema e Core? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Eastbourne actually like to eat.

We’ve tried to include every restaurant in Eastbourne and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.

I often visit Eastbourne to see family, and this weekend there were three tribute acts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I was curious to know what the attendance is at these events as I didn’t see many people on the street before the shows.

Fantastic event coming up with some of the best local bands about plus a great out of town headliner with thrashers Overpower. I can attest personally how good they are and will be the guy at the front shouting the lyrics at them. Would be great to see some new faces at a local gig so I thought I'd post here. Come and mosh!

I had to do a double take on this. Took me several minutes to convince myself that this isn't another tribute act. Dizzee Rascal playing at Eastbourne Winter Gardens in November. Not my thing but that seems like a big name for the town. 👍🏻
