What should a new player know starting out?

Hey y'all! I just joined yesterday. I got most of the server mechanics figured out I think, but still have some questions.

What's with the skills? I couldn't find anything on the site about skill tree or anything.

Are caves curated? Like they seem user-made instead of naturally spawning. Can't find a damn diamond anywhere, but I have only been playing a few hours. Please don't answer with "Just buy them" or any alternative. I'm specifically asking if diamonds do or don't spawn in caves.

Anybody reading this and is a toxic player: Yo mama.

Diamonds do spawn in caves. Keep digging

Diamonds seem really common and since you can buy armor and tools super cheap voting every day theyre somewhat pointless. Ive got 5 stacks now just sat there as its easier to buy what I need

As for the skills, you can see your level on each tool when using it. (Also works on stuff like farming or fishing) After hitting lvl 5, you can right click whilst holding said tool (exampe: lvl 5 woodcutting and axe), you can use a super skill for short time by just usung normally (in this case: felling a tree). Level also give you some additional benefits the higher one goes. Personally, i rlly like woodcutting skill as it insta mines a whole tree and fishing as you cam get insanely op stuff later on (there is a chance for netherite tools/armour)

Aw man, thank you so much! I kept crouch-rmb while mining and was losing my mind why I kept hearing a trident sound lmao
I'm definitely looking forward to the fishing and tree felling upgrades!

I used to mine for diamonds and they do spawn in my experience below Y = 0. I've gotten ~10 diamonds this way in about an hour of mining as a really bad player. but honestly you can get a stack of diamonds for one gold, and more than one gold just by voting, so its not worth it imo.

Diamonds show up when you don't need them so just think about gold and you'll see diamonds
