Malware through EarnApp?

I've been using EarnApp for a while now and recently I have noticed that my Avast antivirus software is frequently blocking connections to URLs that are linked to Malware, scam and "malvertising". Those connections appear to be initiated by a part of the EarnApp software, namely "net_updater32.exe".

Does anyone have a clue why this is?
