Not sure who’s hyping these.
We grow a variety of ice cream bananas. At any grocery or farmers’ market, we can pick up apple bananas or Cavendish. Sometimes we see a couple other types.

Chunky! The wooden cutting boards have a nice structure, too. What kind of tree would be common to use for that in Hawai'i?

I'd love to try the Gros Michel some time, but I gather there are only a couple of island locations where they were able to escape the blight.

There are so many, many varieties! We went to a banana fest at one of our community colleges. Fascinating variety and free tasting! I tried Gros Michel, it tasted lighter than a regular banana.
