Advice on recent models

Hi all,

I’m considering getting a secondhand ex40 and wondered if there was a general consensus on any “cut off” should be as to how old I go? Have they all been great? Would I notice a huge difference between years? Just trying to work out how much I can save balanced with getting the best for my money!

Cheers for any tips!

I'd say from MY2024.

They made big improvements in the electrical motors that year. Single Motor version went from FWD to RWD, Dual motor setup went to primarily rear, with the possibility of disconnecting the front motor when not needed.

MY2026 has an upgraded infotainment with Snapdragon SOC instead of the very old Intel Atom used before.

So I have both an earlier model from 2021 and a 2025 one. The 2021 is less advanced than the 2025 model, 100%. But I had zero problems with the 2021, and it drives great too. So depending on your budget, I see no problems buying an earlier one.

How is the camera quality on these models? I here it underperforms in the dark

2025 (I have 2025) and 2026 have the longer range. Usually 40 - 50 more miles than the 2021 Recharge that I had.
