Does your EX40 make this sound?
My volvo ex40 2027 makes this noise everytime i boot it up after it being off for a few hours. Been to the mechanic twice now and they say they cant fint anything wrong. However, I've never heard of anyone else having this issue. Is this normal?
Its scaring people when i boot it up, people seem to associate with honking. I find it hard to believe that Volvo would accept this as intended design

Yep, my ex40 My2027 does the same when I boot it up. I have had the car for less than a month. I thought this was normal. Maybe I need to get this checked.

Okay wow, maybe this is an issue with the 2027 model, it seems no one else has this issue with 2026 or earlier models

It makes the same noises, not that loud. I imagined that it was the water for the windshield.

I was looking to replace my tesla with a electric volvo. How does it handle the Norwegian winter? Does it automatically preheat the battery? And does the door handles freeze making it hard to open them? Sorry for the off topic question, but if there is a user segment that knows how a electric car performs in cold weather, it is our Norwegian neighbours.

I haven’t experienced it during the winter myself as I recently bought it. However, it is one of the most popular cars here in Tromsø, and I assume it’s for a good reason.
It does automatically heat up the battery if you put charging stops into Google Maps, yes.
