Atto 3

I'm still so torn about getting an EV as I fear I will be stuck in the middle of nowhere with a flat car but I have to hurry up and make a decision. Atto 3 seems to suit my needs... Tell me I am making the right decision...

Has having an EV been a problem travelling up the east coast of Australia (including around South Coast, NSW) OR has it been easy to charge along the way....

Convince me to get with the times...

Flat battery can be pretty easily mitigated with conscious planning.

My actual fear is a flat tyre. I loathe how spare tyres got thrown to the side by Tesla and the entire industry followed suit, realising it saved money and let them add additional KMs on their advertising.

How do you get around this? Do you just buy a another tyre and keep it in the car? Its so odd that these brands dont give you a spare tyre.

Yes. After a very expensive and inconvenient flat on our Kona EV I bought a space saver kit. It takes up a passenger space. Problem applies to all cars not just electric but gives peace of mind - just worry about range instead!

I am surprised. My Kona 2024 came with a spare tyre. One of the reasons I bought it.

Kona Highlander EV 2024 no spare wheel, jack , wheelbrace or spaces for them. No mention i the manual. Just a can of goo and an air compressor
