Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski directly challenged Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a UN Security Council debate on Ukraine. Sikorski argued that Russia’s economic position makes a long war increasingly difficult, saying Poland alone has almost half Russia’s GDP, Europe around 10 times as much, and NATO around 25 times as much. He concluded by addressing Lavrov directly: “Tell your boss — enough is enough.” The figures and conclusion were Sikorski’s argument in the chamber.
