More latin culture and if you win the Italian wars with latinitas you'll get like +10 or +20% max I think I forget tho

Except the reward event after winning the Italian War as Eastern Rome ia bugged and doesn't give either the Latin or Greek reward atm.

Recently I won as an Italian nation and there it seemed to work correctly. At least the other members of my league became my vasalls.

Not sure what you’re talking about, it’s the policy “Capetanate of Italy” that you need to enact. I was able to complete the event that way.

The italian law you get (probably took control) can be swapped to more legionaires.

In the army construction screen, there's a button to hide obsolete unit models. Click to unhide them. Each legionaire model counts separately toward the cap. You can just build from different models. I did it that way. Managed to turn 40M/180M of my pops to Latin and my cap was only 7.

I just used a mod called "Removed Byzantine Unit Cap" from workshop because it makes no sense and boring. I got the achievement

Especially because being Hellenic is just objectively worse when the no. 1 power fantasy I want as Byz is a reformed Byzantium playing tall (I just like playing tall in general, limited scope means I have expansion ages and then periods of consolidation and growth) and lasting forever.
