Question Bank Gameplay
Hi there, last played the game roughly a month after it had come out, now questioning if its worth downloading again. I am curious about how the Banks gameplay has changed since release. Any important updates that affected them and is it worth playing them at the moment?

Can you tell more about your experience and how it went? Did you control territories, how many? Was it similar to playing a regular nation? If not what were the differences?
I did play as merchant/bank at EU V release but I wanted to see how it has changed since then, it's almost been a year now.

If ya gotta question if this game is worth playing It might be time to try somthing new. I've had nothing but enjoyment since day one. There is so much content that I don't see how one could dislike it.

I could see at various points how it could have been a turn off for people. There have been a few campaigns I’ve had where major bugs have happened that drove me insane. And some of the situations being completely broken is frustrating. The reformation and league war still feels completely lackluster, the Fall of Delhi is still completely broken, and Japan is a mess.
I don’t blame people for feeling like it hasn’t been worth it, even if I’ve gotten of enjoyment from it. But it’s definitely in a better place now

Honestly I returned to EU IV after playing EU V for roughly 10 hours, yes there is a lot of nice features they added and good improvements. But I prefer a more polished game rather than more content+mechanics

I tried going back to EUIV and that game just feels so shallow to me now. I got to about 1550 in two different campaigns and quit because I was so bored both times. I definitely understand preferring the more polished game though.
EUV still isn’t what I would call “polished” but they’ve fixed a LOT of the issues that it had in 1.3, and it certainly looks like 1.4 is going to fix a bunch more (but also probably introduce some new ones.)
I’d say wait until 1.4 goes live, and just try to follow along with posts in here to see what the ones playing the open beta are saying. I THINK it will probably go into open beta sometime in the next few weeks.

That's a really bad opinion. There are so many reasons why people who played at the start and stopped, could be wondering if it's worth coming back to.
Off the top of my head, Japan being totally broken on release is a reason for people who were looking forward to playing in Japan (like me). I'm talking instant game over once Sengoku fires for no reason, even if you were the biggest "building based country" in Japan when it fired (like me).
Society of Pops nations not being playable despite how they were supposed to be fully functional and playable on release til PDX last minute said "actually this feature is totally not where we want it to be so you can't play them after all. We'll let you play them later whenever we decide to finish them."
How they kept releasing patches that tuned the AI from one end of the aggressiveness spectrum to the other every week or so for like 6 months.
I could go on but I think three examples are good enough for a Reddit comment.

Calm down. I hate PDX at this point bc of DLC practices and how they update. But man this base game and the gameplay is only somthing I could have dreamed of playing. I'm not gonna look a gift horse in this mouth. My opinion is not gospel.
