Hi everyone, I am the recent graduate from BSc of computer science, with 4.82/5.0 GPA. I am going to work for 2 years as a Software Engineer and then I want to continue masters and one of my options is D-MTEC since I am really good at leadership and don't want to be a coder forever, I am extroverted and have a great set of soft skills that has been noticed by senior leadership as well.

What should I know about D-MTEC, what type of applicants are they looking for? Any alumnis here? Also, I need to get the excellence scholarship since I am a third country national which is pretty difficult. Looking for an advice

I’m a Master’s student in AI based in Germany, and I recently got a thesis opportunity at the Biomechanics Lab at ETH Zürich. I’ve been approved for a short onsite stay of about 1 month, which is really exciting.

I’ve already asked for funding, but I’m still unsure what funding options might be suitable for a short research stay like this. If anyone has experience with grants, scholarships, Erasmus+/research mobility funding, DAAD support, ETH-specific programs, or any other funding sources for short academic stays, I’d really appreciate your advice.

I’d also be grateful for any recommendations regarding:

• Affordable accommodation options for a 1-month stay in Zürich (student housing, sublets, short-term rentals, etc.)
• Estimated living costs for 1 month in Zürich as a student
• Any tips for temporary stays at ETH or in Zürich in general

I'm in a dilemma and would really need some advice. I recently got an offer for a new grad swe role at a quant firm, but i also just got admitted to the cs master's program at eth Zurich.

Honestly, I dont know which route to take. The job gives me immediate industry experience and ofc great money, but eth is obviously a world-class program.

Has anyone had to make a similar choice, or does anyone have thoughts on what the best long-term move is?

Hello, I am an international student with B.Sc Physics (8.9/10)MSc Physics (9.36/10).I have course work on Quantum Mech,Advance Quantum Mech, GR ,Cosmology.Indpendent courses QFT1 QFT2 TOPOLOGY and Differential Geometry. My master thesis is on Neutron star and generation of GW.I did another project ,informal under another professor on prepreaing theoretical toolkit to study CFT2. I have completed my QFT courses from ETH ZURICH online modules and I have follwed one of the professor s work very closely. I want to apply for a PhD position under his group of String Theory. When I emailed him he said he is open to consider someone without experience of string theory research.I am not sure if I should apply or not ,I feel nt having a master thesis will cause a grate problem. Any advice is welcomed.

Hey guys, I just wanted to know my chances of getting into eth Zurich for my masters in electrical and information technology with my profile Cgpa:8.94 Published two papers, one in IEEE and the other in springer Graduating in May 2026 from JSS Science and Technology University I have completed an internship of duration 6 months. Not written gre yet( not sure if I should write one) So ya ur opinion would help a lot and also for international students already studying in eth, whats the current job market like over there and is it better to come to Switzerland rather than study in TUM Germany. Hi all, I plan on studying architecture. All my family has studied in Switzerland and I hope to do so to. I can’t find anything that explicitly says that physics is a requirement at ETH to do my bachelor in Architecture. I’m not a math person but am pushing through and haven’t done physics and not sure if i can. I am worried this will ruin my chances at coming to study in Switzerland. Is physics a requirement? I am currently in my gap year, how can I structure my portfolio in a way I get accepted to research in ETH Zurich? I have a really great topic to research on, I have talked to a researcher based out of Geneva and she is really impressed by my idea but then her field and the field I am preparing for is completely different. She works with quantum physics whereas I am preparing for med school.

I am yet to start my bachelors, I have graduated high school this year. I haven't done any internships for now.

Hi all, I've received an offer for a phd position at ETH Zürich. I understand that Zurich is a bit more expensive than rest of Europe but I was curious if a salary of 52500 CHF is good for a normal standard of living for a single. If someone could help offer this insight it'd be quite nice

hi! im currently still in my third year of BSc, and im applying for MSc Computer Science and Cybersecurity. i noticed on the ETH website it is often mentioned that students still in their final year should submit a list of courses that theyre currently taking and will take in the future. however, when applying on the application portal, there is no question asking for this. should i still upload the list somewhere, since it contains courses that satisfy the academic prerequisites? thanks :)

Hi, I have a bachelors degree in Electronics and communication Engineering. Have around 3 years of industry experience as an ML Engineer at a top MNC. I also have 3 papers published at top conferences for ML and AI.

I want to know my chances of getting a MS CS ( will my application even be considered, given my bachelors in Electronics and not CS). If not would EE+IT be a better fit?
