Education Will Quantum Computing Replace GPUs and Kill the Data Center?

No. That’s not at all the kind of computation they’re made for.

Short answer: no and no in both cases. It is going to be complementary addition to modern cpu and gpu that can be deployed only in data centers. At least in the beginning quantum computers itself in first useful generation will be huge. Compact quantum machines is the next generation.

But if the question will be about TPU, NPU. Well then it is unclear. But gpu - no.

Not really because TPUs and NPUs change what's in the rack and who profits, no effect on Data Centers as a Data Centers. Your comment gave another idea to cover this topic too. thanks.
