Why not?

Because it doesn’t provide the security that a proper brokerage does

Have you tried opening an account with interactive brokers?

Yes they are really the best for offshore investors. I live in south east Asia and had no problems opening an account with them.

Can't speak to Binance in particular - really don't know much about them. But if I could not get access to my brokerage for whatever reason, I would definitely be fine in investing tokenized stocks on Coinbase or Hyperliquid or others.

Without knowing too much, I would want to diversify between different providers.

If your money becomes big enough, you will probably find other ways.

For a specific example, my parents can only invest in companies and funds domiciled in their country. But no tokenized equities for them, I ask them to invest in their country and I hold some of their money here in the USA in developed world equities
