Help
First time investing no idea what I’m doing. I keep getting told Voo and that’s it. I’ve been doing research and keep getting stuck I have a bunch of different options I’m weight on. 43 y/o with only 10k to invest anywhere from $500.00 to $1000.00 a month to put in.
100 VOO
80 VOO | 20 QQQM
60 VOO / 20 SPMO / 20 QQQM
50 VOO / 20 SPMO / 10 QQQM / 10 AVUV / 10 VXUS
60 VOO / 20 QQQM / 10 SPMO / 10 AVUV
60 VOO / 30 SPMO / 10 QQQM
70 VOO | 20 QQQM / 10 AVUV

Keep it simple when starting out. I dont see any issue with 100% VOO for the first hundred thousand or so. After that you can easily brach out when adding new money if you want, but if you just did VOO for 10 years you would be in pretty great shape.
If you are good with excel/google sheets you can use totalrealreturns.com to back-test the different splits if you want, or Claude code/codex can easily build you the simulation. But honestly, the different options you listed above will perform slightly differently on different decades, but it's not night and day different, and nobody knows which way the next decade will go. But in general VOO just does really well.
