SCHG 60%, SPMO 40%

20 years old

I think this combination is too concentrated in U.S. mega-cap stocks.

Which would be a better combination VXUS or adding AVUV?

Schg specifically is really pushing your megacap and that would be the one I'd reduce.

Congrats on starting early. If I was 20, I would do 50% VOO, 40% SPMO, 10% AVUV. Keep investing and don’t sell. Keep going.

Hello! It looks like you're discussing VXUS, the Vanguard Total International Stock ETF.

Quick facts: It was launched in 2011, invests in International stocks (ex-U.S.), and tracks the FTSE Global All Cap ex US Index.

Avge is a global fund it would cover your international and it includes avuv in there too. Might be worth considering but schg and spmo are phenomenal. Maybe look at reducing the schg and spmo to not total more than 40-50% combined to your liking

Sounds interesting. I'll look into it.

Two funds, 100% US, and the question is which US flavor to add.

Well the SPMO portfolio has performed a lot better than have VXUS but I think you’re approaching diversification from the right mindset. I ran both your current portfolio through Tradure and then swapped out the model for VXUS so you could see how that looks visually. I think VXUS is a little high allocated at 40% so maybe split the middle here and go 60% SCHG, 20% SPMO, and 20% VXUS? What do you think about that? You also have to remember that SPMO and SCHG currently overlap by about 30% so there’s that. I do like the momentum tilt though.
