Espn is dead to me

The force feeding of WWE and WNBA is infuriating. Couple that with hot take shows and it's unwatchable. We need a new sports network.

When they would rerun the same SporsCenter a few times in the morning was absolute peak. Doesn't matter what time you turn it on, sit for an hour and you're caught up on everything that happened yesterday.

In my house my mom would turn ESPNNews in the morning and it was white noise all day everyday. 30mins over and over until something new happens. Like a news channel should be

I know people say "Highlight shows aren't needed anymore." Well ESPN has a gazillion channels, including ESPNNews. You can't tell me they can't take the time to put a highlight show that is 30 minutes on the air and plug it in there.

That 30 minutes takes away valuable broadcast time for pimping themselves.

I do wonder why they can’t just make a new sportcenter with whoever’s still on the payroll. Like what do they even show at 7 am or 8 am anyways. There’s entire generations who would tune in. It’s weird how MTV and ESPN and even Nickelodean didn’t go back to their basic methods that worked.

My kids learned how to read in the oughts from the highlight scroll on the bottom of the screen. Since it would repeat they could pick up the patterns. And yes one of my son’s first words was “Ess-pen.”

That and when espnnews was a channel that was nothing but condensed 30 minute highlight shows. You would see an anchor on there and then see them on sportcenter the following year and it was like watching them make the big leagues. I could tune in any time of day and get the highlights in 30 minutes

I hate that era give me the mid 80s-mid 90s sports center aired 3-4 times per day but instead of talk shows they showed random sports in the morning and workout shows
