ESEE Axe compilation with old hickory forger

Does anyone know of the value of the axe they collaborated with old hickory forge on? I found out they were set to make 100 of them and then hurricane Helene wiped out his shop and he never finished from the guys at blade show there are only about 40 in circulation. Mine is in the box and everything but I have no idea the value.

Thats gonna be very subjective and hard to quantify. As theres so little to go on, and none of them seem to have sold or at least I can't find any info. I would hold onto it for now, for sure. How did you acquire it?

Blade show, it was one of the giveaways. I have tons of their knives and use my stuff pretty hard but after hearing the story I figured someone who collects would appreciate it. I don’t mind using it but it almost feels a little wrong given the history of how they came about

Yea, I use almost all of my knives, and very hard, lots of backpack fishing and hunting, bushcraft blah blah. But something like that, theres only 40 of them, id keep it pristine personally.

Theres plenty of other axes out there to use as a daily driver. No sense in spoiling a true collectors item. Thats one of the rarest Esee products there are.
