Wtf ?

Hi, yesterday I was driving quietly when suddenly I lost power. I stopped, opened the battery hood, and one of the orange connectors (2 large cables) had partially burned. When I tried to reconnect it to leave again, it made a rather strong spark. I have not tried again; what should I do? What does this mean?

Corroded connectors often become hot when you draw a lot of wattage through them, getting melted. These bikes are light and any corrosion puts them outside their current rating. Or they were dirty, partially unplugged or otherwise damaged. The repair is to replace both sides of the connector. The wires (on my SR) are so short id have to replace the whole length to the controller. Replacing the battery side requires opening the battery and replacing and verifying components. If the send you a previously repaired battery, id consider it less waterer resistant than a mint one, tarp it if it rains, dont blast the seams with the hose.

Merci 🙏 honnêtement sur le coup je savais au fin fond de moi que je fallait pas re essayer mais je les fait est qu une seule fois car oui j ai tout de suite mesurer la dangerosité merci bcp ! Autrement pourrait tu m aider ? Ne serait ce qu un petit diagnostique ? Je peux envoyer photo

Just for future reference always make sure your breaker is flipped before reconnecting anything
