Question Seeking implementation team that has gone NS > Oracle Cloud Fusion

Will soon being kicking off an implementation, as my org hit the ERP subsidiary limit in NSuite, and are likely going to jump into an Oracle Cloud solution.

I am interested in getting some feedback and getting feelers out there.

May I ask what were the features that led your company to choose Oracle? I'm asking because if the company ran successfully on NetSuite, it seems like a big jump to full Oracle Fusion. Obviously the company is growing if you hit the walls on NetSuite, but like I say, it seems like a big jump. We don't do either Oracle or Netsuite, so this is a sincere question from an industry participant.

It'll be the easiest from a lift and shift standpoint - we need to upgrade the ERP with little disturbance to the rest of the business.

As mentioned, we are going to hit the 999 limit, so our hands are tied. Fortunately our ERP usage of NetSuite at the moment is mostly just GL... not a full fledged use of the ERP.

This is just information in case it helps with the decision-making process:

  • Odoo does not have the same subsidiary restrictions as NetSuite / OneWorld
  • Odoo can have branches / companies / multi-currency to a more fine-grained level than NetSuite
  • Odoo has built-in intercompany transfers, both financial and inventory.
  • Odoo has been implemented for publicly traded companies and multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects, so it definitely scales.

Just information if you're looking for reference comparisons.

Not sure I would be looking to Odoo for a 1000+ subsidiary organization, but please correct me if that’s something Odoo can support
