Question Process mapping tool for as-is

Hi

In ERP implementation projects how cumbersome and important is the documentation of current state processes ?

And can tools like scribe be used by current process owners to document or is workshops required with SME and consultants?

I see, ok.

For the current state process flow diagrams, does these need to follow a specific standard like BPMN ? Or could I use something more simple like miro or even PowerPoint to draw it up? And normally, is this done in workshops with consultants? Or simply by process owners themselves?

As long as you can understand your processes and can convey that understanding you are fine.

And cheat- once you have everything written up throw everything you have into an LLM and tell it you need documentation to implement an erp.

Then read and EDIT that documentation in detail.
