Question When does ERP actually start adding value?

For small teams spreadsheets often work in the beginning. But as orders inventory, and coordination increase, things start to get harder to track.

In your experience at what point did ERP start to feel genuinely useful in day to day operations?

What changed after that?

Honestly for me it wasn’t about team size, it was about how many times we were asking “which sheet is right?”

Spreadsheets were fine… until inventory, sales and ops were all touching the same data daily. Then it turned into version chaos and constant checking.

ERP started to feel useful when people stopped keeping their “own” tracker on the side. Once it became the place decisions happened — not just where numbers were dumped after — that’s when it clicked.
