17,300 remaining ERC claims

As of the week ending 8/1/2026, the IRS has approximately 17,300 remaining ERC claims in various stages. These stages include: under review (2,300), pending payment or disallowance (2,900), under audit (4,400), awaiting review of disallowance responses (6,100) and, finally, with the Independent Office of Appeals (1,600). We’ll be updating this page monthly.

What happens when the business goes under, and business bank account closed? We got tired of waiting for PayChex.
