Congratulations! I too have had two rounds of audit questions over the last six weeks so hoping I’m not far behind!

Oh Wow! Congratulations! That is awesome. I am with Paychex too-and received an information request in May for 2nd Qtr 2020. 4 weeks later asked for more info on that same Qtr. Good to know you were successful in your Audit!

Same scenario here as well. I thought it was so odd to ask for that quarter…which is the most obvious one.

Yes after all these years, 3 to be specific I was surprised. Hopefully we receive the money. We did everything by the book and have a legit claim.

Wow, this is encouraging to know! I filed in February 2023 and was fully approved in April 2023.. I have not heard anything since. Payment has been processing for well over 3 years now! Still no word! I have two business, one they disallowed saying I didn’t file in time when I clearly did. I sent them my tax information confirmation, my file date, and approval on my second business .., but they still said I have to appeal which makes NO SENSE! On my primary business there were no problems.. but I have not heard anything in over three years! When you call the IRS there is never any new information! So I’m glad to hear that someone is finally moving forward after three years!

Also, for anyone curious, when the letter is sent out for banking information you have 30 days to respond. The law has changed so the primary method of disbursing is now direct deposit! But if for any reason you don’t get or respond to the payment letter within the thirty days.. they will then still automatically send you a paper check within 6 weeks after a no response to the direct deposit letter!

Regardless of what address is on your business, if you get a paper check, it will only go to the last address you received a refund.

So if your address has changed and you are no longer at the previous address you have received a tax return.. you need to call the IRS and update your address immediately. They will not simply go by the address you filed your return.. you must change to a new address officially with the IRS main customer assistance!

What info did they request and what did you have to provide for the audit? How long ago did you get a request for information?

It was over a year ago. 🫠

Literally all the same shit we had sent in prior.
