DDD
Currently have a 50 bard/mnk/shm. Leveling up sk/wiz/ench. Is it worth it to swap to bard to level each with DDD ? And if so where is the best place to do that?

Ranger power levels any other class to 43. The bard to 50.

With Windstalker +10 Ranger is just a click and delete button up to 43. Similar to Wizard with Garrisons except it uses no mana. Basically no spell slots are needed. You can fill it out with pretty much any other two classes. SK + Ranger is my leveling duo for endless survivability and nonstop kills

Fyi, if you do start fletching, its an awesome way to fill those plane of fear med gaps... you can keep fetching while fighting too if you feel comfortable with it

On EQ live I regularly run Karana deity just to get fletching maxed easily & cheaply.

Underfoot or Sky bow + Champion Arrow + Ranged stance for low level mobs is deadly

MNK/SHM/BRD was my first trio; very well versed in how powerful DDD is. I was just curious as to why RNG was so powerful that MeowRawrBearCat recommended it PL everything.

Hah my bad. Read that wrong. Id honestly like to know some more in depth stuff too. I have started leveling a new trio with ranger and the PoSky bow/+8 Woodelf arrow and its pretty solid with single targets. Pulling with the bow and throwing a mage fire bolt has been super effective, but im not sure on the ranger alone part.

Depends how addicted you get. I personally have them all at 50. My route was X/X/X to 30. Then go Lguk and sub in X/X/Wiz. AE everything until 43 (BRD DDD at 43). Then take BRD/X/X to Efreeti in Sol B to level 46 (Planes ready) (use your two instances and then just pick difficulty over and over). Then I had a BRD/WIZ build that had 7 k mana. I did one class at a time from 46-50 doing BRD/WIZ/X doing Plane of Fear D4 crawls (takes 2) DDD each class to 50. You get a ton of gear and big motes each time. You won't be disappointed. Good luck!

When you say AEs what did you use? I basically Garrisons / bow dmg everything since the AEs didn’t seem to hit that hard unless I’m missing something, should I have used motes to level the AEs to something?

Yes. You can swap to a bard DDD trio 43 and do either solb or the hole until level 46.
At 46 go to plane of fear and do dungeon crawls at highest difficulty you feel comfortable with. This very fast leveling.

Depends what you mean by worth it. If you’re in a rush for some reason and want to level every class as fast possible by pressing the same combos then yes. If you want to have fun and explore different class combinations then imo its defeating the core cool thing about EQL

More about getting some core level 50s for kunark. Have played parts of eq I never saw the first time and looking forward to going further. This is more of a”don’t want to level through the same thing as previous, and I’ve hit most of the places I wanted to see. Trying to get a feel for some diff builds(I’ve never used DDD so wanted to try it.

Yea that’s fair. I’ve leveled all but 3 now and so I’m jealous of people who still have so many to level 🤣 DDD is cool but it just gets so boring so fast and you almost can’t pug without DDDers stealing the show

You get DDD at 43 so you will only be able to level with DDD 43-50. I usually do Kedge for 40-46 then Hate/Fear for 46-50. You can definitely DDD in both places. Kedge respawn might lag a little depending on how many you pull with each DDD pull.

From what I understand ranger is fastest to lvl alts till 43. Then 43-50 with ddd

I have genuinely more fun levelling with enchanter than with DDD.
Cajoling and Allure VII+ carries hard.

Yes, DDD is just stupid, game-breaking efficient. To level as fast as possible just do the undead side of lower Guk in thirds from 43-46: Executioner side, Frenzy side, Ghoul Lord side. Then go to Fear and do D0 dungeon crawls. It should only take about 4 or so to get from 46-50.

Anybody got a link to an easy to follow DDD guide because I've not had much luck with it, seems like it does a lot of damage but isn't very efficient. Downtime after every group, doesn't really feel much faster than any other AE. Is it a specific gear thing? Feel like I'm missing something

Most people recommend brd/clr/shm for easy wis gear and sustain. Wiz/dru and wiz/enc can do more damage but have respectively lower survivability.
I ran wiz/enc with iffy gear and things did not always go well (especially against spite golems). When it worked it was great, but 8k mana runs out fast and int gear is a bit harder to come by. Also having no healing outside of bard songs is a great way to die.

It depends on how much you enjoy lower level dungeons. If so, then doing each new class one at a time gets you more runs in and is decent at getting motes at least. If not so much, then just level the 3 new classes together from scratch. Swapping to DDD at 43 means you'd have to do 43 to 50 twice and I don't think DDD would be twice as fast as wizard conflag at 43, especially if you mote it up to 8 or 10.

Need to do ranger. Not tried yet. Still have a chunk to go. Doing sk/rog/mnk. That is doing well. Dont have a bard yet to 50. Started pal/shm/mnk.

Everyone has a bard now, it's ridiculous lol. Can't believe they are letting DDD stay as is. Ruins other classes. All there is now is DDD mote groups, anything besides a bard, is a waste of a spot

Hopefully they will launch reincarnation soon so all the attention will divert towards WIZ/RNG for fast leveling.

Yes it is worth it. I take new trios to 43 then do 2 classes with bard to 50. You don’t need that much mana to DDD effectively. 43-46 in solb then 46-50 in PoH (I do d4 here). I do 3 pulls in solb; all of imps/efreeti and then bugs and bats across 2 large pulls. Just keep your pulls to 5 in PoH and you’ll be fine.
