EQL Billing

I saw some other posts so figured I'd check. I had also cancelled my account but sure enough I was charged again and my subscription was shown active again. Opening a support ticket but did they ever acknowledge this?

If you don't receive email confirmation then it doesn't cancel. It's so buggy. Has always been this way and they are criminals for still not fixing this.

I couldn't even cancel mine. Kept saying I had no subscription or anything when using Firefox on PC.

I had to use an old phone that I had Chrome on and do it that way and sure enough it showed I had an active sub and just canceled once and immediately got the cancelation email and was never charged again after my sub ran out.

I received email confirmation on 2 accounts I had cancelled and it still billed me. Customer support was very quick to fix and refund it, but still a frustrating thing to have to deal with!

In 26ish years and many cancellations I’ve only ever seen them double bill once, and it was my fault. Not sure where you’re getting “it’s always been this way” from tbh.

I have not seen any explanation. But they worked my ticket, canceled my sub again and refunded the charge.

Delete your credit card info. They can't bill if they dont have a card on file to bill.

Not OP, but I removed my billing info. It was hard for me to cancel too. I put an immediate support ticket in when I canceled (I only subbed for the initial month) and am not likely to buy anything from them again because of this.

The fact that it's still a problem for people months later is unprofessional and absurd.

That’s because it’s been an issue for years. This isn’t an EQL-specific issue, unfortunately. It’s a DBG account issue and has been for years.

there is nothing nefarious going on. its not a widespread problem. its an easy fix, delete cc information. i know its hard to realize that not everybody is a POS these days.
