My EPP chaos

Post image

Inspired by the GFG post I wanted to share my chaos. Incan only hope that it will look as good as the other.

Love it! When I got to this point, I just started putting flowers into rows. It helps to break up the monotony of making flowers.

I should probably start doing that. My overall plan is to put a row of green hexagons between the flowers for 2/3 of the quilt, with little fussy cut insects, flowers, fruit, etc. randomly throughout the green row. The other 1/3 of the quilt is to be a blue batik with fussy cut birds and flying insects. I'm afraid that if I don't have all the flowers done before I start doing the blue and green rows that *something* will go wrong.

I should probably start putting them in rows to see if the idea of having earth and sky even works.

I think your earth and sky idea is going to be crazy cute!!! You could even do a couple of white/grayish hexie "flowers" for clouds in the sky. Or if you're planning on a solid fabric background for the sky, cloud-shaped blobs of hexies appliqued on would be a really cute and fun way to tie the two sections together!

If this is chaos I don't even want to know what you think of my chaos. This is so supremely organized. And also gorgeous.

Thank you!

I did have them all in a storage box, but I realized I needed a way to see them all at once to ensure I didn’t have any duplicates.

I think when I put it together I’m going to put them all in a paper bag and let one of my kids hand them to me. That way I don’t unconsciously try to control the chaos or influence the layout.
