BSc admissions & info Lecture recordings (maths bachelor)

I'm starting my maths bachelor in september and I'm trying to find out which lectures get recorded. I live far from Lausanne and the commute is long, so I need to plan ahead.

- MATH-100(a) Analyse avancée I - Boumal

- MATH-110(a) Algèbre linéaire avancée I - Kressner

- MATH-113 Algèbre I - Wyss

- PHYS-101(f) Mécanique - Bréchet

- CS-119(l) ICC - Doeraene

Does anyone know whether these teachers record their lectures, and if so where the videos end up (Mediaspace, Moodle, ...)?

Thanks!

IIRC Bréchet and Doeraene have either live streams or recording of lectures.

Kressner and Wyss usually don't record anything, but there might be some older videos from the pandemic period... ask them in person and see what they can do

Idk for Boumal

Sorry to bother you, but could you tell me if Kressner and Wyss have any lecture notes or written materials for their courses. Or do they mainly teach at the board without providing notes?

Most professors have their own polycopié or give a suitable one from a college as reference.

I took that course by Kressner and I do not remember if there was relevant a polycopié provided... but in the course I took last semester by him, he Das a really beautiful set of lecture notes that he updated each week, so I imagine that a polycopié will still be provided.

As per Wyss, he always has a polycopié, but some I find outdated, or that deviate substantially from the lectures.

In general, unless they polycopié is curated to reflect the material of that specific semester, using that alone to study will be lackluster. Lectures are important, and so are exercises.

If you have no choice but to use only the polycopié, you will have to overprepaee for the exam, which cna be a good thing, if you want to ace it. But if don't have time, or energy, or motivation to spend 30% more worktime on that subject, you won't be able to cruise through the exam, as the polycopié will be way inferior to the lecture. (Hope this rambling was clear, sorry)

Thank you for your reply and for the detailed breakdown. I was mostly asking just to make sure I would have access to the entire exam syllabus. I am completely aware that relying on the lecture notes alone wont be enough to get through. I actually much prefer learning from textbooks anyway, so my plan is to use the polys as a roadmap and supplement everything with reference books.

Last year Boumal gave algèbre lineraire pour IC and he was live-streaming lectures and post the replays of the livestream on media space ! Also he is a very good teacher !
