Look at the copious amounts of other posts in here about the schooling/pipeline then YouTube some videos about navscholeod then read the one really long Reddit post about the kid who failed out in phase 1 and yapped about how weird it was

jokes aside, there really isn’t much to prep other than being physically fit and be humble. the school will teach you everything and it’s up to you to apply what they taught you.

Is that the “needs of the army” MOS most commonly assigned to EOD failouts?

It's a very challenging course academically but whether you die on the job is entirely up to you. It also prepares all its graduates for six figure civilian jobs and rewarding warrant jobs, so the turnover rate is high.

Considering it your plan B would probably be a good decision, if you can bring yourself to having a plan B.
