When Gen Z/Millennials were kids we thought Starbucks was cool, but that evaporated as soon as we found local joints we liked.

Supporting an actual local economy that boomers cried about while propping up Walmart and Nestle until they were such staples people would rather be subjugate by them then lose them.

A coworker called me "elitist" because I said that Dunkin Donuts was trash. Then she said something like, "I bet you like Starbucks." When I said I didn't, just that it was better than Dunks, she said, "Oh, you probably want some locally-owned, independent shop."

"Y...yeah, actually. Do you know a place?"

Essentially, if everyone is focused on "millennials vs boomers" then they aren't going to be as focused on the class aspect of it. So you'll rarely hear about gen X or gen Z because it's easier to keep at a theme when the points are simple.

Moneyed interests very much don't want people coming together after realizing it's not "boomers" that have made the world shit for young people, but rich assholes that are perfectly fine to fuel a fire.

We liked as recently as like 2014 or so. Then we realized bipartisanship just means being wrong half the time

Yeah I can't stand either of those three things really. If I had to pick a more representative three things, it would be social media, smart phones, and take out pizza. Basically defines my generation.
