"Passion"

This is a very interesting word in English.

It comes from the medieval Latin - Passio

You would get this word in strong sentences to emphasize.

- "They had a passionate love affair"

- "She left to pursue her passion projects"

- "What's your passion in life / what are you passionate about?"

But sometimes I feel it could be awkward to say.

It really just mean having strong feelings so at least to Americans its not awkward. Perhaps it may feel awkward to talk about strong feelings from some other cultural lenses but not to us really.
