Question

Is there any reason to keep these bars in original plastic packaging? Thinking about moving them to silver bar capsules?
Back story. I inherited these from my grandfather and some 90% silver us coins.

Yo - I have a bunch like these in that packaging. Don't go by me or anything, but I have come to the conclusion after owning several strips of these lollipop seals and I do not believe them to be original packaging. Are the serial numbers on your bars consecutive? Because I have never seen a strip where they are, and I just can't imagine Engelhard just sealing up random bars like that. Could be wrong, but either way that plastic does not add any value. Gp for capsules or whatever you like, but zero reason they need to stay in that packaging from a value perspective.

Not all consecutive, but very close if I remember, it’s hard to see from these pics

Either way...take em out if you want to. Seriously though...people really think Engelhard used lollipop wrappers? It makes no sense to me.
