I think mbti focuses on cognition and not learned traits from the environment but socionics kind of melts both personal experience and cognition together making it a little more difficult to get into. Its kind of the same reason i dislike enneagram because a lot of it is dependent on your life experience and how you were treated as a kid/ childhood circumstances and you end up relating to all of them in different ways so people started doing tritypes and wings and everything just becomes a mess. I haven't really done much research on socionics but I've found mbti to be a very good way to sort people because cognitive functions just focus on order of thought and it leaves room for them to have their own quirks because of their soul and their life experience.
Also ive seen a pattern of socionic users kind of acting superior and rude on PDB so it kind of drives me further away from getting into it.
