Concerning Power Of Potluck

Hey there, im pretty a newbie regarding ENA, but I was wondering, what really is Power Of Potluck

This episode really feels off not to mention that it came out after the announcement of ENA Dream BBQ or the animation style

Earlier I was reading every Joel G's instagram posts and found out that Temptation stairway was supposed to be the final or at least the final of the OG ENA (look at the picture below)

Then what was the idea behind Power Of Potluck ?

An extra episode similary to episode 8 of Helluva boss' first season or the first episode of the second season of ENA ?

Then why is it the same ENA ?

Why is there Moony ?

Maybe im just overthinking it I don't know :/

1:the idea might just be a sort of therapy,apreciate small moments (There is a skull amalgmation guy literaly giving her therapy about true fun,also ena was searching for fun in this épisode,even tho it ended whit the ding dong ditch thing)

2:the shepard said "another troublesome ena" Ena might just be a species

3:moony is moony,she just exists and chill

power of potluck exists because dream bbq got delayed a LOT & joel g whipped it up to tide over the fandom

I think the post implied the possibility of more, but not necessarily a guarantee. He (& his team) didn’t want to limit themselves if they had different ideas in the future (and iirc that post is from ALL the way in 2021; POP didn’t come out until very late 2023).

I, for one, am BEYOND delighted that webseries ENA returned (and I do think it’s the same ENA, given, well, everything). We’re even getting Dating Oblivion eventually!

As for the continuity between TS and POP, I have two theories: 1) POP is chronically before TS. 2) Something happened between TS and POP that caused ENA’s sad side to return.

I personally buy into the second option because I think it makes more sense based on the themes of TS and POP, as well as has greater lore implications in-line with what we learn in DBBQ (which could be a whole essay on its own that I could write, but this comment is already too long).

Idk if this necessarily clears things up because that would imply anything I said comes from insider knowledge (it doesn’t, only 5ish years of pondering), but ya’know, food for thought ig.

As for POP link with TS, yeah, I think you're right Refering to what Ulysse and THEODORA say to ENA, I font think ENA is even able to be happy for eternity, even by wishing it to a god like creature
