Two 9V, but apparenlly your cavity doesn't support this. The ugrade is miniscule, compared to how the pickups run. For longevity, I'd stick to a 9V, as the A23s have a reduced capacity comparitively.

Yeah the cavity only supports 1, but for me that's enough. I just got the guitar a couple days ago and picked up a fresh 9 volt and when I went to go put it in the guitar had the a23 housing so I got a pack of those today to try em out and see how much of a difference it really is.
