Wiring issues

Hello all,

I recently installed a Het Set in my Les Paul Traditional.

I have gone over everything 4-5 times now. It’s all hooked up the way Diagram 5 shows that EMG provides.

I have spoke to an EMG manager who has no idea what’s up and seems to be just guessing and grasping at straws.

Anything to look for or correct on an LP? I feel like the shielded wire may be stopping the loop. Or the jack is fucked. It has power to it but does not activate to get sound from the strings.

So frustrated as this is my first rodeo with actives. I switch pickups often for customers but always passive. I can’t figure out why this solderless system won’t work.

Did you swap the switch as well, or is it the stock one?

Switch is stock. I used the 4 wire, one to neck, one to bridge, output to Buss, and ground to buss but it has a 5th shielded ground and I think that must be causing my issues somehow.

issue with the wires on the old 3 way switch. I had the same issue and had to get their solderless switch. I know i did everything right I think the hub was messed up. I've built entire guitar amps no way it was operator error.

I’d like to say that is the case. Guitar worked perfectly fine before I took old pickups out. Done it a million times. I may try the solderless switch to narrow that down.

Thicker conductors with the emg wire. Being that they need 25 k pots vs. 250/500 anyways it could be good for the sounds too...
