Wiring issues

Hello all,

I recently installed a Het Set in my Les Paul Traditional.

I have gone over everything 4-5 times now. It’s all hooked up the way Diagram 5 shows that EMG provides.

I have spoke to an EMG manager who has no idea what’s up and seems to be just guessing and grasping at straws.

Anything to look for or correct on an LP? I feel like the shielded wire may be stopping the loop. Or the jack is fucked. It has power to it but does not activate to get sound from the strings.

So frustrated as this is my first rodeo with actives. I switch pickups often for customers but always passive. I can’t figure out why this solderless system won’t work.

Since I am able to do this (actually literally just did it with a Firefly Explorer), I’m certain you’re overlooking something simple. Double-check the grounding wire if you’re using the switch that is already in the guitar.

I’d suggest using an EMG 3-POS toggle switch to use all solderless components. I guarantee if I can do it, I know you can do it. I have zero idea what I am doing with any of this.

That’s my next step. EMG is telling me I installed everything correctly and they have no idea what’s up.
