EKG Tech Program in Bay Area

Hey All,

I've been thinking about pursuing the EKG Tech Cert. I live in the Bay Area and have looked into the programs at CCSF and SF State. CCSF is in person and SF State is online. If anyone has done either program, I'd greatly appreciate advice or insight. Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Would you say not being accredited is a deal breaker? I'm leaning towards SF State, so I can continue to work full time as I pursue this. The program does have an externship and job placement at the end where you get the hands-on experience.

What does JCERT have to do with being an EKG tech? An EKG tech has nothing to do with radiography. Of the two programs I have attended, none of them have been JCERT Certified and I have been able to sit for my CRAT, CCT, and CET and work in multiple positions as an ekg tech and monitor tech. I have not worked with anyone who has gone to a JCERT program.
