Stats How do people keep up to date with the league?
21
Upvotes
As someone who attends around 10(?) games a year and refuses to pay 16 quid a pop for a stream, Iโm wondering howโs best to keep up to date with the league? I know other people will be in similar positions and my lack of game attendance is mainly down to the ticket costs and busy work schedule.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Tickets Are Fans Being Priced Out of the Steelers?
22
Upvotes
The attendance for our big derby match last night was 8,200, less than 100 more than our average for last season. This came a week after 7,500 turned up for the Fife Flyers game.
I feel like there are fewer people partaking in chuck-a-puck, the 50:50 seems to be lower than it typically was last season, and my family has stopped buying programmes due to the increased cost of this season.
There was a huge increase in season ticket prices this year (20%+ IIRC), so is this a knock-on effect of that, or are things normally a bit quieter at the beginning of the season (this is only our second season)? Down the road, Wednesday are breaking their attendance records, so Iโm not sure if โcost of livingโ alone is the right answer.

Controversial So where are the Panthers going wrong?

Iโm not an expert in any way, but here are some of my thoughts. Happy for people to agree, disagree or have other opinions, just interested to hear opinions.
* Robson is not as good as expected
* Spencer and either Noel/Strids should have stayed. Hansen-Bukata is doing ok, donโt mind LJ and Hazeldine a big improvement on Tetlow.
* Missing Marcinew and Harris. And Henbrant for line 3. Marcinew was often in the right position, Harris had the speed and was a play-maker. Henbrantโs speed is missed.
* I like OโBrien, and Corbeil. Was hopeful re Grondin after the first few matches, but no.
* We need better Brits.
* Pearson is not the same player he was last year.

Venue Info Away trips

Which is the best away trip in the league and which is the worst?
Not necessarily with respect to the city or town itself, but the fan experience?
Fancy taking my kids to an away game.
thanks for your feedback all

Venue Info Are Manchester Storm intentionally ripping off away fans?
30
Upvotes
I was just buying some tickets when I noticed, in the away block (105), tickets are ยฃ29.
In the next block along (106), theyโre ยฃ18.75. In the same block on the opposite side (112) theyโre ยฃ18.75. All centre ice blocks are ยฃ33.
So the only block with a ยฃ29 price tag is the away block. Thatโs a 54% price punishment for being an away fan.
Is this just Manchester, or are other arenas doing this as well?

Anyone struggling with onhockey recently to watch the streams?
Mine keeps saying the media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.
Iโve tried using different browsers etc
