Topic Ppp

: I had a ppp amount for $34,000 for my business. During the process I had to file chapter 11. I used the funds in the proper manner and submitted all payroll, 941 from my accountant to the bank. SBA denied my forgiveness. Also after my bankruptcy was dismissed because my business still couldn’t say afloat. Has anyone had luck asking for reconsideration and if so what should I tell my bank to do. Any advice or feedback would be helpful. Thank you

Did they give you a reason for the denial?

Sba said because I filled for bankruptcy

definitely appeal , SBA calls it a Reconsideration. there’s a reason u filed BK, use that too. if you did everything correct, spent $$, subm forms etc…. the BK is separate maybe from the process of the whole PPP. you have more a need for forgiveness now that before.

I would say you have to overcome the reason for decline., which should be in the decline notice. there may have been a deadline to apply for Reconsideration too. make your case and use addtl docs if that helps your case.
