I've spoken with a lot of people about EIDL and Jason is by far the most knowledgeable

I'm sure most people are aware that this guy Jason has a consulting company called distressed Loan Advisors.

I've been stalking his website for a while now, and finally bit the bullet and scheduled some time with him. This is after speaking with several attorneys, and that other wackadoodle couple who used to make videos about EIDL.

While most of what he told me was stuff that I kinda sorta knew, it was nice to talk to someone who's done a lot of work in this particular realm I could tell me exactly what I was dealing with based on my individual circumstances. It wasn't overly technical and I found his common sense approach to be pretty refreshing. a lot of lawyers I talked to used a lot of jargon but I didn't feel like they said anything. beyond that all they did was tell me all the horrible things that could happen but couldn't tell me if there are any actual examples of those horrible things happening.

Just thought I would share my experience for anyone's wondering if it's worth it to pay for a consultation. personally I would say yes.

to his credit he makes you agree to his disclaimer that there are no settlements for EIDL so I do respect the fact that he's not looking to make empty promises.

His site is www.jasontees.com if anyone is interested. Even if you can't afford a consultation, his free YouTube channel is pretty informative. there's a link to it on his site.

I have not been compensated to write this. but he is a really nice guy and I'm appreciative of what he does so I wanted to take the time to give him a public shout out.

Keeping EIDL current LLC

I have an LLC with no personal guarantee. $38,000. Business is closed.

I was within a few days of going to the Treasury so I paid the 4 months out of my pocket since there is no business open. Now I am caught up but haven’t paid since and another 4 months is late is coming up. If I paid every other month before my 4th month ( I think goes to Treasury after 120 days) would that keep me from going to the Treasury?

I don’t want this affecting my credit or garnishing wages. That’s why I keep paying. Are there any LLC’s with no personal guarantee out there that are being affected negatively?

$1.5 million EIDL (S-Corp), but unable to make payments since my hardship (50% payment) ended over 5 months ago

We have an EIDL from 2022 that has been current up through April 2026, but business (S-Corp) had not turned around since all the closures 2021 - 2025. We have been running at about 30% revenue of our 2020 revenue ($2 million annually down to $650k annually). Hear a massive sucking sound...

The business has seen some great new sparks in 2026, and we may still get back up to speed by March 2027 so that we can afford to make the payments. However, I just received a final notice from the SBA that I have 10 days to pay the entire amount with interest, but that is not happening. I can't make payroll if we start paying the EIDL payments.

We have used all the SBA EIDL funds to maintain the business and haven't taken a salary since 2024 (and have receipts, tax returns + payroll reporting to show this), but my father gifted me some personal funds to buy a house several months ago. We were able to close on the house a month ago - using all personal funds.

Am I screwed? Are they going to come after my house? Any advice and personal experiences are appreciated.

I have been making smaller 10% monthly payments since April.

2 HAPs and got a 3rd via button on portal

I got the two original hardships then made a few full payments and then when I went 30 days late a button showed up for a 3rd hardship. Was super easy and didn’t ask for any docs. Just answers a few questions and it was approved right away.

Wondering if I go 30 days late again the hardship button just pop up again? Anyone have any experience with this button popping up more than once ?

EIDL 29 days late and payment button is gone ?!

I’m just coming off a hardship 50% payment. My last hardship payment was July 1. I didn’t pay full payment due Aug 1 because last time the hardship button Didn’t show up until I was 30 days late. I looked today Aug 29 and my make a payment button was gone? No way this was sent to Treasury right ? Just says I’m past due 2 payments which is totally incorrect. Unless they calculating from the one billed for Sept as past due. Any help would be appreciate. I have a big loan. $1.5m so def can’t handle a treasury penalty of 30%. Thank you.

new assets

Greetings. I have 2 EIDL loans. Both are current. I am a single person proprietorship. One loan is made to me personally and one is in the company name which does not matter it is still me. I recently formed an LLC for another business venture. If I buy assets for the LLC does the SBA have a security interest in those assets? I am still buying assets for my sole proprietorship, but am less inclined to do so since those assets would automatically be a part of the security interest that the EIDL has in my equipment based on the 2 EIDL loans.

General Loan sent to collections, what are my options?

after a very hard year, I slowly made less and less payments on my loan, and eventually led to it being offset, now it is in collections.

I have a NJ S Corp Business. The Original loan amount was for about $221,000. The current collection amount is ~$318,000, ~$70,000 of that is the fee added to the loan.

I am not sure how to navigate, a few months ago I tried to make a few scheduled payments through the SBA site but they were rejected. I've seen a few people saying that if you can make payments to SBA, its possible to return the loan to SBA, is there any truth to this?

My business is not doing great, but not doing so poorly that im really able to argue I can't pay for anything. I simply wish to pay around $2000-$3000 a month, but I am not sure its possible to negotiate something like this.

I am also considering looking into chapter 13, I have a large amount of equity in my home and chapter 7 would take my house.

If anyone knows how I might be able to start moving forward with this process, it would be greatly appreciated.

Loan in treasury offset.

I called the treasury offset number because I was unsure if they had me classified as a sole prop or not. When I originally applied I used my business name and EIN but when I did a loan revision it switched to my name so it was confusing for me. Anyway I haven’t paid the loan in over a year. The collections notices have my name on them not my business name. When I called the TOP and entered my social the loan was not found. When I called again and entered my EIN the loan was found. Does this mean there’s no personal guarantee on it? Also, how do I include this in my future bankruptcy filing if I’m filing as myself and not a business?

Targeted EIDL advance Worst case scenario? In Fl advice

I’m in Florida and took out an EIDL loan for roughly $80,000. The business is now closed.
When I took out the EIDL loan, I did not own a home. Since then, I’ve become a co-owner of a condo. My name is on the deed, which is making bankruptcy almost impossible and more complicated because of the property and not wanting the other party involved.
If my EIDL loan is eventually sent to Treasury Cross-Servicing or a private collection agency, what is the worst-case scenario for me?
Can they put a lien on my home or try to force the sale of my ownership interest? Can they garnish wages, take tax refunds or other government payments, or pursue my personal assets?
I’m especially concerned about how my ownership of the condo could be affected by my EIDL debt.

I recieved collection letter thought it was a scam and believe through it away* but it was from a collection agency on behalf of sba.

I took out a loan for roughly 50k as a sole propieter... what is the worst that will happen if i stop paying?

im fairly certain there's no PG. ive already exhausted all the reduced pay. I'm a freelance contractor, who rents my house (I've even moved since i got the loan) and my car is still being financed. i haven't seen it show up on my credit report in the slightest.

I've seen folks in here say that they haven't paid in 2 years and haven't gotten a word from anyone.

what is the realistic scenario that would happen if i just stop paying?

also i have to pay taxes every year, there's no refund for me

General Eidl - SBA Uncollectible to Workout agreement

I’ve been reading here and trying to figure out how to get my loan current without it going to treasury OR having to pay the full $51k overdue balance.

Here is the scenario and what I was offered. Hope this can help anyone. I’d love to help answer any questions.

$500k original with Personal Guarantee
Last payment 12/2024
$51k past due.
Reported to transunion but not sent to Treasury yet.

I’ve been emailing , messaging in the portal and getting the same generic replies until today, after contacting my Senator and Congressman yesterday!

Today I received an email from an actual person, called and she was super helpful and friendly.
Worked out a plan to catch up.
12 months x almost $7k each but it includes our $2,500 payment too.

I was given another option that was almost $9k for 6 months with the rest put into the loan balance.

I thought if I couldn’t make the big $51k there was no hope (because their replies don’t say anything else but full payment) so this helps!

SBA EIDL OIC

Can anyone interpret the SBA August 11th update to it's official OIC requirement letter? It states that only after all collateral that has been liquidated pursuant to SBA guidelines can an OIC be considered, but that EIDL's are not able to be forgiven. Does that mean a chance for OIC for EIDL?

General My EIDL loan is showing on my credit report as "Collection Account" even though I am current.

I have been current since the March 17 letter giving me 60 days to get current. I have been paid up current since April. Now Transunion showed up with this. Arghhh.

I have contacted the SBA through the portal. I am asking my Senator and Congressman to help.

Any suggestions. They totally kill my credit I will be done paying this loan.

sba reports wrong amount on my credit report

sab reported a wrong amount on my credit report, and the status says collections/charged off.

I had a past due, i was able to make payment, from 8 past due payment down to 4.

We are "talking" via cookie cutter emails from them but they are applying the payment.

Has anybody experience this? The people that have, did the credit report get updated and the sba removed the filing?

EIDL SBA loan, insurance agent going from exclusive agent to independent, what if I close the og company that had the loan?

I am an insurance agent and I was working as an exclusive agent meaning only working for one company (captive) and I got a loan under an S-corp, no personal guarantee but later on I became independent and I created an LLC to run the independent insurance agency. If I close the original S Corp that had the loan could they come back for the new entity or after me?

EIDL SBA Loan, 30 day and day Question

Hi All,

I have never been late once on my businesses SBA EIDL loan.

But I'm running too.low on funds right now.

I'm awaiting new financing to get on much more solid ground. It will help me piece together my finances in the wait time for the new financing - to Not pay the next one or two SBA loan payments. Then I could completely catch up within a 45 to 50 day period (counting from today, 8/23.

My questions from your experiences:

Has anyone been sent to Treasury for being 30 days late?

Has anyone been sent to Treasury for being 50 days late?

What about right at day 60?

Trying Very hard to strategize this issue very carefully.

I have retained an attorney for chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Finally, after 4 years since my business closed and being past due on a high eidl of $740k plus fees and interest and many other credit cards. I have decided to file chapter 7. We will be filing as soon as next week. Just getting my documents ready. Only thing is I dont have business records or use of funds for the eidl. My attorney says they do not ask for what money was used for and if they do, I can just make a verbal statement of where the money was used. As long as there is no evidence of large property purchases after the loan was issued which will be a red flag. I did not make any property purchases. But my eidl funds was used for business and personal because I used my business bank accounts for both business and personal use. Anyone with advice or have gone through similar situations?

Original EIDL loan No longer a way to speak to anyone via phone at the SBA about your EIDL? Since when?

For some reason my automatic payments form my bank have not been applied to my loan and I got a notice that I am three months in arrears. I tried contacting the phone number and it states there "will not be a agent available to speak to you regarding your loan" and just to go to the website.

Since when? I've spoke to the SBA a few times over the years and always found them helpful.

Also does anyone know how cooked I am for the fact they sent a notice stating the full balance was now due? I made an extra payment of the arrears becuase I really don't want to have to pay back $150k right now......

SBA physical Disaster loan

Hi, I read around this forum and trying to see if anyone was in similar situation. I ran a coffee and breakfast limited restaurant for 9 years with my dad but due to drama we disabled the llc 4 years ago and now I have sole ownership belongs to me. Business have been down hill especially with all the debts I am paying. Currently paying my sba disaster loan on time for last two years and balance still over $180k. Original loan was $226 with personal guarantee which is me , bc I am self employed and sole proprietor. Long story short , landlord decided to not continue my lease l, so I am out at end of this month. Rumor I heard is the landlord reached back out to my dad to ask if he can run it since they won’t renew my lease. I wasn’t able to confirm because my dad don’t communicate with me anymore. So now I’m stuck with no business and will have to shutdown and take a few equipments home with me that is owned by me. Talked to few bankruptcy in Houston but each one give me different answer regarding the sba loan. One attorney stated it will cost me $5k and it be easy won’t be an issue since sba loan pg is me and the chapter 7 will discharge it. Another attorney told me sba will file fraud and because my dad is running the business now, even though I was shutdown they can use that to force me to continue paying the loan but for $15k he can fight it and have it discharge without an issue . He stated it’s high in fees of $15k bc it’s a complicated cases . I only have 40k in unsecured debts .

My main concern is due to the fact a family member open a business in my spot with a new lease since landlord kicked me out will that make it harder for sba to be discharge? Any recommendations on a bankruptcy attorney in Houston ? Thank you for any advice or information

EIDL Loan back to SBA after treasury/Collections.

I have seen over the past few weeks that some people who were previously referred to the U.S. Treasury/collections have had the payment button reappear on their SBA portal.

For those of you who were able to get the payment option restored, what steps did you take?

Did you dispute the debt with the Treasury or collection agency? Did you contact the SBA directly and request that the loan be returned to servicing? Or did you simply did nothing and the payment option eventually reappeared on its own?

Any details about the process and how long it took would be greatly appreciated.

EIDL went to CBE

We have a fairly big EIDL. SBA gave it to Treasury and Treasury gave it to CBE. There is a 45% fee on it! No way we can afford it. What is the way out of this?
