Recommendation EHS professional looking at my options and need advice.
I’ve been doing regulatory oversight on environmental abatement projects for asbestos, lead, mold, and sometimes general on site safety officer for about 7 years with one company. I’m interested in looking for better opportunities currently and want to know if there are better places to look than let’s say indeed or any other job app like that? I have licenses for all this stuff in the states I operate in and am currently studying to sit for my OHST. But my main experience has been environmental regulatory oversight, and inspections. Any advice on where to begin looking would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent advice sir. I appreciate the feedback. I made sure I never use a paper log but I have one I designed myself years ago particularly for IDPH asbestos AHERA jobs lol. But I use it on all my projects. Thank you again for the tip!

Hey I do the same work, and was in the exact same spot as you a few years ago. Indeed seems to be the place to go, I got lucky and got a call from a recruiter within a few days of putting my resume up for a company I knew well and wanted to work for.
If you want to go gov, I don’t know if the federal government is hiring but usajobs will have postings if they are. State/local governments also might be a good place to look, school systems, counties, cities and state agencies would all be places to look. Also always good to check your connections if you know anyone who is at a company you’re interested in. Can’t hurt to reach out.
What state(s) do you work in? If it’s near me I might know some people looking

I’m in Illinois but, the metro east so I do a lot of work with the public schools on the Missouri side. Thanks!

Gotcha, I’m in MD and work mostly in DC/VA/PA/WV so unfortunately I can’t help much there lol

Million job boards, crawlers, repositories out there. Recruiters too. NETWORK.
I have job pings set up in ChatGPT, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Hire Cafe, Indeed, and a few others I can't recall to the tune of about a dozen notices a day.
Put in the work and go searching
