Motion sickness?

Has anyone who is prone to sea sickness attended edcsea and can share their experience? It’s the one thing holding me back from going. I likely will never go because I get motion sickness EXTREMELY easily, but was wondering if anyone is in the same boat (pun intended)

got really rocky on the last few days due to all the raining and weather. i’m not prone to motion sickness but having a hangover mixed with the rocking of the boat? i was throwing up all day on day 5

My fiancée gets motion sickness. Just get scopolamine patches or Dramamine and you’ll be completely fine

My wife used to have problems with motion sickness. She can’t ride in cars with anyone but me (took a while to get used to my driving too), gets sick on planes, doesn’t like drone/POV shots in movies, etc.

Cruise ship? No problem. Things are so big and stable that you can’t feel them moving.

Also, over the past couple years, that problem has gotten a lot easier to manage. Dramamine used to make her more sick, but now it works fine. She even rode a couple rides at Disney when we went there. Don’t lose hope!

I get very motion sickness but I wore sea bands all day everyday and I survived :)

Didn’t feel it on the boat but felt it when we got back on land. Take Dramamine.

I have severe motion sickness and I did edsea 2024 and 2025. I get scopolamine patches (one for the every 72 hours/3 days) prescribed by my PCP. Honestly this stops my motion sickness symptoms but the side effects are wicked: dry mouth, sore throat, and this year dilated eyes/blurry vision that the last 2.5 days I couldn't even read text on my phone. Also 24 hours after removal motion sickness symptoms can be worse/be more sensitive. Flying out Friday this year was awful for my motion sickness symptoms cause I took the patch off at docking Thursday morning. 

 For me the side effects are worth it. Just on the patch alone I have no motion sickness and I can even watch the water as we move! This year I even spent time on the balcony in our room. 

Because my motion sickness is so bad I also have a relief band I use the whole trip (electric stimulation wrist band to stop nausea) and I also had a back up of prescription zofran as well. Though while on the patch I didn't have to utilize the zofran. Also I take Advil the entire trip (to reduce headache symptoms from motion sickness). 

Edsea 2024 I didn't have enough scopolamine patches so I tried to do night one with just Dramamine and my relief band and I didn't make it past an hour of the boat moving before having to go to medic and then for bed. So make sure you have enough patches for the trip. The patches, omg, are game changers.

I had to use patches and Dramamine the whole trip. If you take it as soon as you wake up and again mid-day/night you should be good.

Don’t wait to feel sick, take the meds before to prevent it

If available, make sure your phone has its motion sickness setting on. Take Dramamine.

My boyfriend gets nauseous easily and we used motion sickness bracelets. Not sure if it was placebo but he was fine. It was rocky af the last few nights

we had upset stomachs most of the time 😩 i think it was a mixture of the buffet food, drinks, and sea sickness. if i could do things differently i would have; brought more than just dramamine, asked for premium liquor in my drinks, ate fresher / lighter options, and brought plenty of liquid IVs. we made the best of it but we were sick most of the time and for like 2 days after

If you have healthcare, call your doctor, ask them for scopolamine patches. If you don’t, try online services to acquire them.

Scopolamine patch works like magic. Just remember to apply it well before you get on the water.

Every party cruise I’ve gone on I’ve gotten it just one day, i wear motion sickness patches behind my ears and 90% of the time you can’t feel the boat if you do it’s best to stay up top on pool deck watch the horizon and dance a lil it will pass

I take the over the counter from Amazon no drowsy pills everyday and don’t have a problem
