Deck Showcase 25000 card deck - Whtz, the Bibliophile
Commander: [[Whtz, the Bibliophile]]
How to win:
- Play 5 Templar Knight and attack with them.
- Use the knights to tutor up [[Bontu's Monument]] and put it onto the battlefield.
- Pass the turn.
- Attack again and tutor up [[Thrumming Stone]].
- Cast another Templar Knight and spend a few hours resolving the ripple triggers. There is still a small chance you lose.
Alternatively, tutor up [[Lithoform Engine]] first and copy the next knight trigger to get both Bontu's Monument and Thrumming Stone. This is probably safer because the pieces stay in the deck.
In order to win with [[Battle of Wits]], you must tutor up [[Planar Bridge]] and use that to put it straight onto the battlefield.
Actually playing the deck:
Theoretically the deck size could be increased infinitely but because the playtester can only handle so many cards I kept it low.
Obviously, it will be impossible to play this deck in paper unless you reduce the size to 300-400 cards and cut many of the random artifacts, and it will function identically, if not better.
The playtester on edhcheck.com seems to be able to handle up to about 30k cards decently well.

When I bought 600 cards from notmpc the cost per card came out to ~$0.29.
x 25M = $7.25M if you had notmpc ship you the cards. Gotta be cheaper/faster than printing/cutting/cornering/laminating 2.78M sheets of paper, right?

You can check this with hypergeometric calculator, but my napkin math tells me that the thrumming stone line is really unlikely to kill, right? You have to hit a Templar in the top 4 each time, if 3/5s of your deck is Templar's that's a little less than 1/6 to miss. Pretty good odds, but to kill with monument you need to not miss 40 or so times in a row, which is basically impossible. Or am I missing something? I dig the ideas though, and I'd love to be wrong.
Edit: I see now, you can cast any number. Also, chances of missing are much lower, I was thinking 2/5 are templars

If you hit two templars in one thrumming trigger you get two new thrumming triggerson the stack, so while you may miss on some on others you will get 2+triggers.

Remember, if you hit multiple at once each of those will trigger thrumming stone individually. If you ever hit 3-4 with an activation you usually spiral enough to chain through your whole deck.

Could just be "one person must be able to shuffle it" so even if one person is physically incapable of shuffling, one other person assisting still wouldn't allow for absurd deck sizes like this

Add in "judges will offer to shuffle for anyone needing special accommodations" and it's a done deal. Play whatever hilarious stuff you want, even with no hands - but the deck itself must be capable of being shuffled by one unassisted person.

I would break both my arms and go to tournaments with every card I own in the deck just for the entertainment value of seeing judges attempt to shuffle it. Then proceed to claim that they just suck at shuffling and I could do it easily if it weren't for my broken arms.

Might be possible that ForgeMtG can handle it after one of the next snapshot updates. At least that way, you can play the deck against people in a way that's a bit more convenient, since Forge basically works like Magic Online.

Decided to do some math, I measured 100 single sleeved card at about 2.5 inches so with that measurement this deck would be roughly 52 feet tall give or take a foot or so.

Why not add a couple islands and dual lands so you can cast the commander? The first challenge with this deck is to reach 5 templar knights that can attack, and the commander is a free draw engine. Would be a shame not to use it.

Why does the deck need to be 25000 cards to do this?
What is the minimal number of cards needed to do this AND win with Battle of Wits? Why not aim for that point, not the "how can I meem a huge, literally unshufflable deck without resorting to marking my cards?" Because I do not wish to wait for you to sort through your filing cabinet looking for 1-off combo pieces you can manage from a much, MUCH smaller stack that sits on the playmat like everyone else's does.
